Leadership: Answering the Call for Liberty
Nancy Fox
Thursday, August 3
1:15pm-2:45pm
The institutional model of care has led us to a certain way of seeing ourselves and the world we attempt to manage. It has taught us to believe we are in control, when in fact, we are restrained by the same top-down hierarchy and punitive system of governance that inhibits our Elders and their care partners. If we are to free our Elders and their care partners from this broken system, we must first free ourselves. Leadership is the key that will unlock the chains that bind us. In this session, Nancy Fox, the executive director of The Eden Alternative, and a nursing home administrator who has lived the culture change journey, will share leadership stories and pathways from her new book on culture change leadership to support you in this most important personal transformation.
